El Salto – Copper/Molybdenum Porphyry – 2 Concessions
The El Salto project is comprised of 2 concessions of 8,700 hectares. It has been determined that there are copper, molybdenum and gold zones in multiple porphyry deposit targets which were discovered through previous exploration carried out by the Geological and Mining General Direction of Ecuador and the British Geological Service in 1975 through 1979 and later by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency and Metal Mining Agency of Japan between 1988 and 1991.
Wardrop Engineering, Inc., a Canadian fully integrated, multi-disciplinary engineering firm, has completed a preliminary NI 43-101 technical report on the main concession. It has recommended that the previous exploration work on the porphyry targets be confirmed and updated with geophysical and geochemical analysis followed by a focused drilling program.
The El Salto mineralization can be classified into three types: a) copper porphyry and stockwork; b) high sulphidation epithermal mineralization; and c) polymetalic vein type.
RHRC is presently conducting exploration work on the El Salto concession
Las Palmas and Cochabamba targets are located north from El Torneado main target and Oshohuayco target appears south east from El Torneado
The El Torneado occurrence has surface dimensions approximately of 400 by 400 meters, and is comprised of an upperdisseminated and a lower stockwork zone.
Surface sampling obtained copper values ranging up to 0.3%. Drilling intersected copper values between trace and 0.17%, and molybdenum values rangine from trace up to 0.13%.
