River Hills Resource Corporation (RHRC) is a Canadian minerals exploration company incorporated in Vancouver, B.C. in 2005. Its primary mission is to explore for and commercially develop mineral resources in Latin America with its initial focus in the country of Ecuador. RHRC operates in Ecuador through its two wholly-owned subsidiaries, Riverhills Resource S.A. and Emerging Exploration, S.A.
Mineral exploration activities in Ecuador to date include the development of both placer and hard rock mineral concessions that demonstrate solid potential for precious metals (gold, silver & platinum) and base metals (copper & molybdenum) recoveries. River Hills Resource Corporation entered into a pair of agreements in February and April of 2008 with a Chinese State owned company to finance and operate three of RHRC's larger projects. The El Salto and Mishkyloma copper projects were transferred to a newly created Ecuadorian company which is being financed by Shandong Chem Institute of China. In a separate subsequent agreement, the Whitecury platinum project is also being transferred to a new company. RHRC will retain 30% of the projects. See NEWS for more details.
