Copper, Nickel, Platinum & Palladium - 3 concessions

VHMS deposits comprise ore bodies with more than 60% sulphides which are typically stratiform and are always associated with volcanic rocks of marine origin.

Basalts, andesite – basalts and gabbros from Macuchi / Piñón terrains are the most common boulders in the main stream of the project. Quartz - pyrite veins can be seen in some of them.

Las Guardias batholith is intruding this terrain in the eastern part of this project leaving some relicts of them as xenoliths as in the Balzapamba small VHMS outcrops.

Morphological distribution of the terrain suggest a north – north east tectonic trend with an extension up to 20 Km and approximately 15 wide till the contact with the Las Guardias batholith, the western limit is covered by sediments and is forming the coastal basin. In the field this magnificent outcrop of Macuchi / Piñón terrain corresponds to an anomalous topography

Location

The project has three concessions covering an extension of 13,200 hectares located in the western slopes of the Western Cordillera in between the Bolivar Province and Guayas province.

To reach the place we use the paved rout Quito - Quevedo - Ventanas - Potosy village locted in the south limit of the project. The trip takes 7 hours from Quito.

Geology & Mineralization

Basalts and gabbros are the most common outcrops in this area, then Copper - nickel; platinum - palladium; chromium - cobalt - vanadium and Kuroko type deposits are the principal targets in this project.

In Ecuador Macuchi and La Plata copper - gold belt exploited since republic times, are the best examples of these type of deposits.
